Journaling is a passion of mine. I love looking back at the journals I kept when my kids wer e little. We recently adopted a new lab mix puppy, and I have been loving this journal!
It has created a similar passion in my family as we document her early days. We love jotting down funny things she does each day, plus it helps my daughter keep track of the new puppy's health!
My I0-year-old loves the blank pages on the back where she draws pictures, or prints out pictures, to add to the story. It's going to be something my family will have farever. It's a shame, but sometimes you forget puppyhood as dogs grow older. It's nice to have something to record all the first year "awesome." Plus my kids get to document their first time as new puppy owners. They have even gone as far as adding things about our older cats in the journal, too.
The First Year Of Life With Your Fur Baby has been a great activity to do as a family; helps with creative writing; and, will be something we will treasure for years to come.

SALTY & SWEET JOURNALS BROUGHT TO YOU BY
NOVEMBER SUNFLOWER
I've had many fur babies throughout my lifetime - dogs, rabbits, hamsters, fish, and even a couple of birds. I remember bits and pieces of my time with my fur babies (scale babies, and feather babies), but not enough bits and pieces.
When my soul dog passed in 2016, I realized I had forgotten a lot of our first year together. Other people had memories, but most of mine were from key moments I had with him and I had forgotten how difficult he was to house train and the shenanigans he put us through when doing it until my mother reminded me. But I do remember when I went to pick him out, he was one of two from his litter still there and he jumped on me, covered me in dog poop, and I knew immediately he was going to be my baby!
But I sure do wish I had written down more of our history together….. because it would help me even years after his passing to have a good chuckle about things he used to do (like refusing to go to bed unless he had his baby with him in his bed).
A journal would have been useful!
If you have a relative who just brought a fur baby in his or her life, a memory journal is a fantastic gift. With every memory journal purchase you get a pet planner, too. Fantastic gifts for any new fur parents.
With the journal you'll have a great record of memories and with the planner, you'll be the organized pet parent you've always wanted to be!
Prepare & Plan
With a new pet, there's a lot to keep track of. Fur babies require regular schedules for potty breaks, feedings, and playtime. As a pet parent, you'll also want to keep insurance information, vet visits, and vaccine schedules organized. Your planner is the perfect tool for it all.
Record Special Moments
Videos and pictures are fantastic. You'll also take so many that you'll never look back on all of them, and you'll have no time to organize them, so they'll be hell to get through in later years to locate just the right video. But a journal…. it's easy to grab, thumb through, and find great memories to reminisce.
Confidently Create
Writing is a lot easier when you have writing prompts to get you going, especially when you're running on empty. Grab a pen, your journal, and choose a writing prompt to get you started!
